16/06/2020 The Basque Government contracts Sirenet for its emergency network.

The Security Department of the Basque Government has recently acquired a license to use Sirenet for managing and planning its emergency network. This digital network of mobile radio is based on TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) technology and serves users of the municipal and industrial emergency networks, Ertzaintza, fire and emergency services, infrastructures of roads, harbors and airports, network for urgent health transport, etcetera.

Aptica will also provide a training course according the needs of the Basque Government in which its employees will learn in a very practical way how to use this tool for planning access networks and radio links, how to perform calculations of signal levels, interferences and handover, how to choose the most suitable propagation method for the calculation and how to manage the different types of cartography layers.
