It contains the basic actions of the Xirio Online:

Create new study. Creates a new simulation study. Initially the user must select the type of study that is desirable to calculate and the service or technology, this allows Xirio Online to configure the other parameters of the study and the elements involved with suitable default values to the type of calculation to perform. The following windows allow the configuration of a number of parameters of the study, the transmitter, reception parameters or cartography.

Open studies manager. It displays a sorted list with all stored studies property of the user. Searches can be realized by name or by type of study . After selecting a study the user will be able to open it showing its elements on the viewfinder and on the caption or to remove it from the system.

Open results manager. It displays a sorted list called "My results" with the results calculated from the user's own studies. After selecting a result, it may be opened, deleted or published to other users. The results are stored in the system until their "expiration date", although it is always possible to renew the storage via the option to "renew hosting" of each result. Additionally it displays a second list called "More Results", which shows the results that have been published by other users and on which the user has permission of visualization.

Templates manager. On Xirio Online the user can create predefined templates of radio elements (transmitters, receivers, antennas, etc..)that you normally use in your simulations. By this way you can create new elements from them quickly speeding up the configuration of multiple studies with similar parameters. From this option, the user can create, edit and remove his templates. The following link explains in detail the template manager use.

Import results from Sirenet. Option whereby the user can import results generated with the radio planning tool Sirenet.

Show information panel. It displays the information panel. The information panel shows data for the selected item in the caption, such as a study, type of result, transmitter, method of calculation, etc.

The figure above shows the appearance of the information panel in case a study of single coverage, a transmitter and a result of signal level had been selected.

Show task panel. It displays the task panel. It contains the names, status and progress of actions, and the calculations still in process. If there are no pending tasks and calculations are completed successfully the panel will be empty.

Update of panels. It refreshes the informative panels of the application and restars the viewfinder to its initial state.

Visualization users manager. Xirio Online users can publish results of their studies to other people through visualization users. The following link shows how to create, edit and delete these users.

Open user configuration.

Create a new point of interest. It creates a new point of interest. A point of interest is a mark on the map in a location chosen by the user. It is defined by a name and several location characteristics, the coordinates, which may be entered manually, by selecting a location or by selecting a point in the viewer.

Manage points of interest. This option allows to create new points of interest, to open the already existing ones or to delete them. It also has a search filter by name.

Drag a map.

Calculate distance. It calculates the distance between two points. The first click on the map fixes the first end. The second click sets the second end. Since the first point is fixed until the second one is fixed, in the horizontal bar below the viewfinder appears the distance and azimuth in each moment as the cursor moves. When the segment is defined, a marker with the appropriate information is shown.

Calculate a profile. It d isplays the orographic cross section between two points. The selection of the stretch to see it is done in the same way as in the "calculate distance." Also shows distance and azimuth on the bottom bar until the second end is fixed. When the stretch is defined the profile segment is represented on a graph:

Consult a location altitude. It gets the height above the sea level from the digital terrain model at the selected point on the display. The information is displayed on an information marker .


Address Bar. It allows to search for addresses, words, coordinates, etc., displaying a list of possible search results. Once the user selects the most appropriate search result, the mapping display indicates the selected geographic location with a marker in Google Maps. This utility uses the Google maps search engine.
