SYNAPSE: MORPHOLOGY DATA

Inicio  Anterior  Siguiente

Morphological data is a representation of the ground specific to Synapse model. Each geographic area is stored as a classified grid, in which each point is dependent on both the elevation and the clutter. The data point value is calculated in a continuous way: For example, a point representing "DENSE_URBAN_RELIEF" morphology cannot have a point representing "FOREST_FLAT" morphology as a neighbouring point.

It is strongly recommended that you use data representing the morphology of the area with Synapse in order to ensure accurate results, especially for the tuning mechanism. This data must be generated from both the clutter and elevation data. This can be done using Synapse interface.

There are ten different types of morphology obtained from the combination of the type of terrain and the relief.
