A point of interest (POI) is a specific location that the user finds interesting or useful. It is possible to access the creation of points of interest by clicking on the icon on the toolbar. A dialog will be open where you can set the point of interest before it is rendered on the viewer.

You can manually enter the coordinates, or place it directly on the viewer by selecting the option . Besides the name, you can associate a brief description to the point of interest.

It is also possible to create points of interest from KMZ / KML files or from a plain text file. These options are available in the Point of Interest Manager.
