SCHEDULER LTE PARAMETERS

In Xirio there are two models for simulating the LTE scheduler: from spectral efficiency curves defined in the users terminal or from the curves defined in the scheduler itself.

lte_A_scheduler

Spectrum efficiency curves defined by the user terminal

Using this option, the scheduler behavior is evaluated based on the scheduler configuration, sector MIMO configuration (sector LTE parameters), and spectral efficiency curves defined on user terminals (mobile terminal LTE parameters). Xirio has three types of theoretical scheduler algorithms to perform capacity calculations: "Proportional Fair", "Round Robin" and "Maximum Rate". For the "Proportional Fair" and "Maximum Rate" planners, the gains that will be applied in the calculation due to the use of these planners are defined

PF scheduler gain DL: Gain in the downlink path defined by the planner "Proportional Fair".

PF scheduler gain UL: Gain in the uplink path defined by the planner "Proportional Fair" for LTE-A.

MR scheduler gain DL: Gain in the downlink path defined by the planner "Maximum Rate".

MR scheduler gain UL: Gain in the uplink path defined by the planner "Maximum Rate" for LTE-A.

Spectrum efficiency curves defined by the scheduler

By means of this option, the behavior of the LTE scheduler is defined exclusively by the spectral efficiency curves defined in this dialog itself. These curves must incorporate the gain from using a certain scheduler and using a certain MIMO configuration. It is necessary to define the spectral efficiency curves:

Spectrum efficiency curve DL: Spectral efficiency curve for the downlink path without using MIMO.

Spectrum efficiency curve DL with MIMO: Spectral efficiency curve for the downlink path using MIMO.

Spectrum efficiency curve UL: Spectral efficiency curve for the uplink path without using MIMO.

Spectrum efficiency curve UL with MIMO: Spectral efficiency curve for the uplink path using MIMO.
