The object transmitter in Xirio corresponds with the typical concept of radio frequency “transmitter”, although the finished transmission system is contemplated within this object, that is, in addition to the physical transmitter, the radiating system and the specific emission parameters. To create the transmitter the user can either create it from a catalog element or create a new one. In the first case, a copy of the selected catalog element will be loaded, so that modifying this copy will not result in a modification of the original element in the catalog. Then it is necessary to set the transmitter parameter, its name and location. The location data (longitude and latitude) can be entered manually, copied from a location in the catalog, accessing with the icon The user also has a coordinate calculator In this window there is a link to configure the transmitter radio parameters. PARAMETERS OF BROADCASTING SERVICES WITH SFN TECHNOLOGY •Network identifier: Identifier of the network to which the transmitter belongs. LTE AND LTE-A MOBILE SERVICES PARAMETERS In the case of LTE and LTE-A services, the transmitter has as configurable parameters the Station and the PCI. •Station: Station to which the transmitter is linked. •PCI (Physical Cell ID): Cell identifier within the network. This parameter is involved in the evaluation of interferences. •RSI (Root Sequence Index): Establishes the index of the first RS used by the sector for the PRACH. It is possible to access the following options from transmitter Action window: •Modify transmitter. From this option you can access the transmitter configuration window. •Optimize transmitter location. Modifies transmitter location to find the highest point near the station. It is a very useful tool when the accuracy of the station coordinates is not very high. •Center viewer. Locates the selected transmitter on the viewer. •Undo last movement. Cancels the last modification of trasnmitter's position. This action is very useful when the station was moved by mistake. •Add transmitter to catalog. Creates a new element in the Catalog as a copy of the transmitter. |
